ANF recovers over 1750 kg drugs in operations across country

Anti-Narcotics Force has recovered over one thousand seven hundred fifty kilogram drugs and twenty five thousand intoxicated tablets during separate operations across the country. In a statement, ANF spokesman said eight persons were arrested in these operations. Source: Radio Pakistan

KP: 10 die in rain related incidents

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 people including eight children have died while twelve others injured in the rain related incidents in different parts of the province. According to report released by Provincial Disaster Management Authority today, three houses were completely damaged while twenty-four partially damaged due to building collapses in Peshawar, Nowshera, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, Bannu, Mohmand, Mardan and North Waziristan. KP Health Minister takes notice of over 1,445 confirmed cases of measles

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah has taken notice of over fourteen-hundred and forty-five confirmed cases of measles in the province. According to the health department, he has sought a report from the Director EPI and directed the authorities concerned to form an immediate provincial breakout committee. Health Department says the highest number of measles' cases have been reported in Dera Ismail Khan with one-hundred and eighty-five cases, Peshawar one-hundred forty-seven, Charsadda one-hundred and thirteen, Swabi ninety-two and Lower Dir with eighty-three cases. Punjab govt releases Easter Grant for Christian community

Punjab Government, for first time has released Easter Grant for Christian community under which Eidi worth five thousand rupees per family distributed among ten thousand Christian families today. In this connection, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Safdarabad near Sheikhupura and distributed Easter Grant. She visited the Church, cut an Easter cake and conveyed Easter wishes to the community. Later, the Chief Minister visited the Maryamabad area in Lahore, went to Church and planted a tree there.
