SIFC taking steps to develop Pakistan’s agriculture sector on modern lines

Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is taking practical steps through Green Pakistan Initiative to develop Pakistan's agriculture sector on modern lines. In this connection, precision agriculture method is being introduced to improve crop yield through use of advanced technology, reduce labour time and ensure efficient management of fertilizers and irrigation processes. World Tuberculosis Day being observed today

World Tuberculosis Day is being observed on Sunday. The day is aimed at raising public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. The theme of World TB Day 2024 is 'Yes! We can end TB!' which conveys a message of hope that getting back-on-track to turn the tide against the TB epidemic is possible through high level leadership, increased investments and faster uptake of new WHO recommendations. PM for collective efforts to strengthen healthcare system

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for collective efforts to strengthen healthcare system and increase access to quality diagnosis and treatment. In his message on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, he said Tuberculosis is a significant global health challenge and awareness must be raised about its prevention and control measures. The Prime Minister said the government has implemented various programs and policies to combat this disease. He emphasized prioritizing TB elimination in global health agenda and allocating resources accordingly for a TB-free world. Shehbaz Sharif said provision of access to quality health services is the constitutional responsibility of the government and as it strives towards this end, the role of the private sector and global partners is deeply appreciable. He vowed to support initiatives for improving healthcare system in the country and urged all partners, organizations, healthcare professionals, and individuals to unite in government's efforts to eliminate TB f rom Pakistan. The Embassy of Pakistan in Iran organized a photo exhibition titled 'Khoobsurat Pakistan' as part of the Pakistan Day and Nowruz celebrations at Tehran to promote Pakistan's culture and tourism.
