ECP appoints Mohsin Raza Naqvi as caretaker CM Punjab

Election Commission of Pakistan has appointed Mohsin Raza Naqvi as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab with immediate effect.

A notification to this effect has been issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

According to a notification, an important meeting of the ECP was held in Islamabad today with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in the chair.

In this regard, a letter has been written to Punjab Governor, who will administer oath from the newly appointed chief minister.

Iranian Navy ships, submarine visit Karachi port

Iranian Navy ships and submarine visited Karachi port and participated in naval exercise with Pakistan Navy.

The exercise was aimed at enhancing naval cooperation between the two navies.

During the visit, the navies held professional interactions on matters of mutual interest.

The visit of Iranian navy ships to Pakistan is a manifestation of strong bilateral ties between the two countries and their resolve for regional peace.

It also reaffirms joint efforts to promote regional stability and maritime security for protection of Sea Lines of Communication and Seafarers in the region.

Over 47,000 SRCL students passed out since inception

Over forty seven thousand students have so far passed out from the Schools for Rehabilitation of Child Labour under the auspices of the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

The schools are an initiative of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to pull out children from labor and to impart them education, in line with the United Nations and International Labour Organization Conventions.

At present, 18,488 children are enrolled in these schools.

One hundred and fifty nine such schools are functional all over the country.

The children involved in child labor are enrolled in these schools and are provided with free education, books, uniform and even a stipend and subsistence allowance to parents.
