Govt launching ‘Champions of Reforms’ Network today

The government is launching 'Champions of Reforms' Network today (Wednesday) to make policy making process inclusive, citizen centric, demand driven and transparent.

In his tweets today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the network will serve as a platform to bring together top experts to serve the nation.

PM lauds efforts of religious seminaries for promotion of Islamic teachings

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured to extend full support to religious seminaries for provision of education as per the modern day requirements.

Speaking to a delegation of Ittehad-e-Tanzeemat-Madaris in Islamabad, he said the government will not only give more autonomy in the management of the seminaries but also facilitate their registration process.

The Prime Minister commended the efforts of religious seminaries for promotion of Islamic teachings. He said the seminaries have always protected the interests of Pakistan.

Describing them as one of the biggest networks of NGOs, the Prime Minister said about four to five million students are getting education in the seminaries.

United States celebrates 75 years of Pakistan-US friendship with public illumination

The US embassy in Islamabad is marking seventy-five years of bilateral partnership with Pakistan by illuminating a building at Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

The illumination which started yesterday will continue till 11th of this month.

Using innovative technology, the three dimensional moving projection highlights key themes and images of Pakistan-US relations.

In a statement, US Mission Charge D'Affaires Andrew Schofer said his country has worked with Pakistan to support energy, agriculture, public health education, infrastructure and people to people connections.

He said we look forward to exploring opportunities for future collaboration and partnership including through US-Pakistan Green Alliance Framework.
