In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two youth in a fake encounter in Badgam district on Tuesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the personnel of Indian army and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force stopped a vehicle at main Chowk near Badgam, dislodged the two youth and shot them to death on spot. The locals said youth were martyred by the troops in cold blood.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has said the present dispensation in India led by Narendra Modi is snatching properties and lands from locals as part of ethnic cleansing of Muslims and Dalits particularly in Jammu region.

APHC leaders Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Fahrida Bahenji, Dr Musaib and Advocate Davinder Singh Behl in their statements in Srinagar and Jammu termed the drive as a big conspiracy of the Hindutva regime to uproot the two communities from the region.

Meanwhile, widespread protests were held in Jammu and parts of Kashmir valley against the ethnic eviction of the Kashmiris from their lands in the name of encroachment campaign.

The protesters said the latest move of the Modi regime to evict locals from so-called state land is yet another step of colonizing Jammu and Kashmir.

PCB’s Strong Stance Forces Fox Cricket to Delete Scandalous Tweet Against Babar

Fox Cricket has taken down its tweet about the allegations against Babar Azam after PCB’s strong statement against the fake news reporting.

Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed its disappointment over the recent controversy surrounding Babar Azam, the team’s captain that was reported by Fox Cricket. The news outlet had reported that Babar Azam was being accused of allegedly sexting his teammate’s girlfriend after videos and voice recordings went viral. The source of the article was found to be a parody account, which raised questions about the credibility of the platform.

It has been revealed that the screenshots and voice recordings that were used as evidence of the allegations against Babar Azam have proved to be fake. With this, many have claimed that it appears to be a defamation campaign against the team captain and that such attempts to tarnish the reputation of a player should be condemned.

In response to the article, PCB took to Twitter and stated, “As our media partner, you might have considered ignoring such unsubstantiated personal allegations which Babar Azam has not deemed worthy of a response.” The board also emphasized that such false and baseless allegations can harm the reputation of the player and the team.

Following the PCB’s strong reaction, Fox Cricket has taken down the post but the incident has raised concerns about the credibility of online news sources and the need for fact-checking before publishing news. Meanwhile, Babar Azam has refrained from commenting on the matter.

Facebook Accuses Israel of Stealing Personal Data of Users for Politics

Meta, Facebook’s parent company, is taking legal action to prevent Israeli surveillance company Voyager Labs from accessing Facebook and Instagram. The lawsuit claims that Voyager Labs collected data from 600,000 users without their consent by creating tens of thousands of fake accounts.

According to The Guardian, Facebook had already deleted 38,000 fake profiles set up by Voyager Labs. The Israeli firm has offices in the US, UK, Israel, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and conducts research and development through a subsidiary in Israel.

The lawsuit from Meta claims that Voyager Labs used surveillance software to collect data from users on various social media platforms, including Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Telegram, as well as Facebook, and Instagram.

The data included posts, likes, friends, photos, comments, and information from groups and pages. The suit claims that Meta discovered these activities in July 2022. This legal action is part of Facebook’s ongoing efforts to combat the digital spying and surveillance industry.

The suit also brings attention to a market of unknown companies that specialize in extracting information from social networks. Voyager Labs is among this industry, which claims to predict criminal activity based on past behavior and social media activity.

Meta, which is also in a lawsuit against another Israeli offensive cyber company NSO, says:

Voyager Labs offers information extraction without distinguishing between the type of customer, their needs or the nature of the targets subject to surveillance, which may lead to a violation of civil rights.

The lawsuit against Voyager Labs brings attention to the wider industry of data scraping and surveillance, in which Israel is a major player with at least eight similar companies, some of which offer more advanced tools.

The Guardian reached out to Voyager Labs for comment but is yet to receive a response.
