Wicket-keeper batter, Mohammad Rizwan, has once again won hearts after he was spotted offering prayers somewhere on a street in the United States of America (USA).

In a short video that went viral on social media, the right-handed batter can be seen offering Maghrib prayer while parking his car on the side during his visit to the USA.

Babar Azam and Rizwan enrolled in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS) executive education program, making them the first Pakistani cricketers to do so.

Rizwan said, “It is a huge honor to represent Pakistan on such a global stage. We are going to the BEMS program at Harvard to learn from the best of the best in the world.”

Earlier, a photo of Rizwan went viral on social media, showing him presenting his teacher with a copy of the Holy Quran and receiving appreciation from cricket fans.

Earlier this year, Mohammad Rizwan delivered a speech on his firm belief in Allah Almighty in a mosque in Lahore at the start of the third Ashra of the holy month of Ramadan.

Last year, during the tri-nation series in New Zealand before the T20 World Cup, Rizwan also delivered a sermon on Islamic doctrine to the Muslim community in Christchurch.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to the proposal from New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to play a white-ball series in January 2024 after the Australia Test series.

Last month, the New Zealand board approached the PCB for a white-ball series to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States of America (USA).

As per media reports, the series could consist of either a five-match T20I or a three-match ODI series, as both teams have no international commitments during that period.

Pakistan is scheduled to play a Test series against Australia, starting on December 14 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, with the series concluding on January 7 in Sydney.

The Black Caps are also set to play a home series against South Africa, starting in the second half of January, which provides them with a vacant period to hold the series.

It is worth mentioning that both teams recently concluded a comprehensive series in Pakistan, which included a total of eight ODIs, five T20Is, and three Tests in two phases.

The Test series ended in a draw, as all three matches produced no result, while the visitors won the three-match ODI series in the first phase by 2-1.

In the second phase of the series, the five-match T20I series ended in a 2-2 draw, with one match being washed out due to rain, while the home side won the ODI series by 4-1.

Former Premier League player, Adil Nabi has expressed his strong desire to represent the Pakistan national team in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Nabi, who currently plies his trade for Athens Kallithea FC in the second tier of the Greek football league, believes that he can make a significant contribution to the Pakistani team’s aspirations.

Having enjoyed a stint in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion and numerous loan spells in the lower divisions, Nabi brings a wealth of experience to the table. The attacking midfielder possesses excellent technical skills and a keen eye for goal, making him an enticing prospect for the national team.

“Of course, it will be great to represent Pakistan football national team. My brother [Rahis Nabi] is already representing the country this month. I know everyone in Pakistan is waiting for me. InshaAllah [God willing] the wait will be over soon,” Nabi stated.

Nabi’s eagerness to join the Pakistani squad comes hot on the heels of Pakistan’s recent announcement of the additions of Easah Suliman and Otis Khan.

A remarkable hat-trick from Abdul Rehman propelled the Pakistan team to a resounding 6-2 victory over Malaysia in the semi-final of the Junior Hockey Asia Cup.

Malaysia took an early lead in the 21st minute through Parabo Tangaraja’s strike, but their advantage was short-lived as Muhammad Safyan leveled the score in the 42nd minute.

Abdul Rehman then showcased his prowess by scoring his first goal in the 44th minute. However, Malaysia swiftly responded and equalized just a minute later.

Abdul Hannan put the side in control after showcasing a brilliant move with a field goal in the 47th minute, taking the lead and putting the opposition on the back foot.

Abdul Rehman continued his impressive performance, netting two goals in quick succession in the 48th and 51st minutes to complete his hat-trick and consolidate their position.

Abrar Ahmed sealed the triumph with a strike in the 58th minute, securing a resounding 6-2 victory for Pakistan in a historic move in Salalah, Oman.

This commanding win secured the place of the Green Shirts in the final of the Junior Hockey Asia Cup for the third consecutive time and their seventh overall.

Star Pakistani cricketer, Shaheen Shah Afridi, showcased his hard-hitting batting skills, leading his side to a thrilling victory in the ongoing Vitality Blast in England.

While representing the Nottinghamshire Outlaws, Shaheen smashed a straight six in the last over to successfully chase the total against Durham at Riverside Ground.

Batting first, Durham posted a total of 169 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Ollie Robinson played a crucial role, scoring 50 runs off 38 balls, which included six boundaries before Shaheen rattled his stumps.

The left-arm fast bowler took one wicket, conceding 39 runs in his four overs, while Steven Mullaney and Conor McKerr took three and two wickets, respectively.
