Mohsin Naqvi directs to achieve sowing, production target of cotton at any cost

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed to achieve the sowing and production target of cotton at any cost.

He stated this while chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday.

He said cash prizes will be given to farmers that achieve higher production.

Mohsin Naqvi said that minimum support price of cotton has been fixed at eighty five hundred rupees.

The meeting decided to provide all out facilities to cotton farmers including provision of water, seed and fertilizer.

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while very hot in southern central parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

Islamabad nineteen degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-eight, Karachi twenty-nine, Peshawar twenty-two, Quetta seventeen, Gilgit twelve, Murree fourteen and Muzaffarabad twenty degree centigrade.

According to Met Office weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula while hot and dry in Jammu.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar thirteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-five, Leh four, Pulwama and Shopian eleven, Anantnag and Baramula twelve degree centigrade.

Protests in AJK against G20 meeting in IIOJK continue

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, protest demonstrations and rallies are being held against the holding of G20 summit in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

In Muzaffarabad, a protest demonstration followed by a rally was held by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK Chapter in front of Central Press Club today.

The participants of the rally belonging to all walks of life were holding black flags, placards and banners condemning the Modi regime’s nefarious designs to hold the meetings of G-20 countries in Srinagar and Leh. They were chanting anti-Indian and pro-freedom slogans.

The participants appealed the international community to play its due role and stop human rights violations in the held valley.

Secretary Information inaugurates first transmitter of PTV Bolan in Quetta

Secretary Information and Broadcasting and Managing Director PTV Sohail Ali Khan inaugurated the first transmitter of PTV Bolan in Quetta on Sunday.

With the installation of 500MW modern transmitter, the broadcast network of Bolan TV will expand further and will now be available on UHF (ultra high frequency) common antennas and in areas where there is no cable or dish antenna facility.

This will add 30 to 35 lakh more people into PTV family.

On the occasion, Sohail Ali Khan inspected the quality of broadcast and visited different sections of the center including the technical area.

He also gave directives for establishing virtual studios in Quetta.

He was briefed that programs in Brahvi, Balochi and Pashto languages are aired from Quetta center.
