First Lady Samina Alvi has stressed the need for collective efforts to economically strengthen the country.

Addressing an event in Islamabad on Monday, she said women empowerment must be ensured in this regard as without their active participation no country can be considered as a developed state.

Samina Alvi said women’s valuable role and contribution for the development of the country must be acknowledged at all levels. 

She also called upon the women to continue their hard work to grow and prosper in life.

The First Lady said educational institutes should take concrete measures to support marginalized segments of the society including differently abled persons.

She also urged the women to pay special attention to their health issues including regular checkup for breast cancer as early diagnosis of this disease can prevent precious lives.
