President offers Eid-ul-Azha prayer at Faisal Mosque, Islamabad

President Dr. Arif Alvi offered Eid-ul-Azha prayer at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on Wednesday with complete observance of coronavirus standard operating procedures.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and other parliamentarians also offered prayer at the mosque.

Later, the president prayed for the progress, prosperity and welfare of the country and the Muslim Ummah.

PM is true leader, advocate of Kashmir cause: Farrukh Habib

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is a true leader and advocate of Kashmir cause.

Talking to media persons in Faisalabad on Wednesday, he said Kashmiri people will support and vote to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Sunday.

The Minister of State said Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to improve living standard of the people and in this connection, the government has provided record subsidy of 25 billion rupees through Utility Stores.

He said the government has provided targeted subsidy so that the poor segments can be facilitated.

37,500 security personnel to be deployed at all polling stations in AJK

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 37,500 security personnel will be deployed at all polling stations to ensure free, fair and transparent elections for the Legislative Assembly.

Addressing a presser in Muzaffarabad, Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir, Shakil Qadir Khan said the decision has been taken as per directions of the Chief Election Commissioner.

He said 5,300 personnel of police and 32,200 civil armed forces from the provinces of Pakistan will be deployed at various polling stations.

The Chief Secretary said 6,000 to 7,000 troops of Pakistan Army would also be on backup to assist the civil administration at sensitive polling stations.

Mahmood directs govt officials to perform their duties with honesty to facilitate people

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed the government officials to perform their duties with honesty to facilitate the people.

During a surprise visit to various government offices in Mardan and Malakand districts, he warned that strict action would take against the officials showing negligence in their duties.

The Chief Minister, during his visit, also suspended several officials for their negligence in duties.
