President Zardari, PM Shehbaz felicitate Sikh community on Baisakhi festival

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have felicitated Sikh community on the celebration of Baisakhi festival. In their message on this event, they that this occasion gives message of love, happiness, peace and affection. He said that Pakistan felt pride over its diverse cultural heritage. The President said that Pakistan will ensure all steps to facilitate the Sikh community. Asif Ali Zardari said that Pakistan acknowledged the contributions made by minorities in the progress and development of the country and is committed to safeguard the rights of all minorities. In his felicitation message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Government of Pakistan and all the provincial governments are ensuring provision of all facilities to the Sikh Yatrees who were visiting their religious places in Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif termed Baisakhi as the festival of spreading love and happiness. President summons joint session of Parliament on Thursday

Ahsan Iqbal to receive ‘Meritorious and Distinguished Award’ next month

Asian Productivity Organization has awarded Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal with the prestigious Meritorious and Distinguished Award for his role to improve productivity. Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal will formally receive the APO, Meritorious and Distinguished Award 2024 at the APO Governing Body meeting held in Kuala Lumpur on 28th of next month. The award will be given to individuals across the Asia-Pacific who have made significant contributions to productivity improvement. It is an honor for Pakistan that Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has been selected for this prestigious award. It should be noted that Ahsan Iqbal took over the Ministry of Planning for the sixth time in March this year. He was also given the title of Mr. CPEC by the Chinese government for initiating and promoting the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. In the brilliant career of Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, several projects were launched including the large st project of CPEC, Five Ease Framework, Four RF, five Economic Corridors of CPEC and National Center of Excellence. Pak Army starts tree plantation drive in North Waziristan

Pakistan Army has started tree plantation drive on the arrival of spring season at Bang Dar area of Tehsil Ghulam Khan in North Waziristan. Initially, Pakistan Army leveled the land to make it cultivable and then fruit plants were cultivated. Pakistan Army also distributed saplings to the locals and guidelines were also given to them regarding plant protection for optimal growth. People expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army for this historic initiative as there will be lasting and positive results on the climate and the lives of the people of North Waziristan. Balochistan CM vows to ensure peace in province

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed resolve to ensure peace in the province. He stated this while chairing a meeting regarding law and order in Quetta today.
