Rally held in Dera Adam Khel to express solidarity with Pak Army

A rally was taken out in Dera Adam Khel on Sunday to express solidarity with Pakistan Army.

Addressing the rally, the speakers said the general public is standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army for defence and protection of the motherland.

They said peace has been restored in the country after meritorious sacrifices of the law enforcement agencies.

De-worming drive to begin in KP from Monday

A five-day special deworming campaign will begin across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Monday, during which children from 5 to 14 years age will be given medicines to protect themselves from stomach worms.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has asked parents and teachers to extend cooperation to health department staff to make the campaign successful.

Partly cloudy weather expected in most upper parts of country

Mainly partly cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country, while rain-wind with thunderstorm and snow over the hills is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north-Balochistan, Islamabad, Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during evening and night during the next twelve hours.

However, dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad eight degree centigrade, Murree seven, Quetta ten, Lahore sixteen, Karachi twenty-two, Peshawar eleven, Gilgit zero and Muzaffarabad nine degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of rain and wind thunderstorm in evening and night is expected in Srinagar and Leh, partly cloudy in Jammu while cloudy weather with chances of rain thunderstorm in likely to prevail in Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar two degree centigrade, Jammu ten, Leh minus seven, Pulwama, Shopian and Baramula three and Anantnag four degree centigrade.

Gilgit Baltistan govt approves project for computerization of land records

Gilgit Baltistan government has approved project for computerization of land records and draft law for this purpose.

The approval was accorded at a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani in Gilgit.

The meeting approved MoU between Govt of Gilgit Baltistan and Board of Revenue Punjab which is aimed to help for swift up-gradation and computerization of the land records.

The Government of Punjab shall extend technical cooperation, and give exposure visits and training to the GB officials.

PTDC striving to boost religious tourism for revenue generation: Managing Director

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation is pursuing a concrete plan to boost religious tourism to generate revenue and promote tolerance in the country.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Managing Director, PTDC Rana Aftab said PTDC is working to promote religious tourism for not only revenue generation but also to promote religious harmony and tolerance among the people.

He said besides religious tourism, PTDC is working to promote adventure tourism and cultural tourism.

He said our domestic tourism market is already strong and, as over six million domestic tourists visit different tourist destinations every year generating billions of rupees.
