Govt making all out efforts to bring betterment in every sector: Khawaja Asif

Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the incumbent government is making all out efforts to bring betterment in every sector.

Talking to a private television channel, he said that Pakistan Muslim League-N, after coming to power, has taken important steps to revive fragile economy and strengthen political system.

He stressed the need for political stability to boost economy of the country and strengthen rupee.

Khawaja Asif said the government would complete its constitutional tenure and general elections would be held in 2023.

Replying to another question about CM Punjab elections, he hoped that Hamza Shehbaz would maintain his position in the assembly.

Ahsan urges US technical giants to open research centres in Pakistan

Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal has said it is high time for Pakistan and the United States to establish their relations on basis of mutual respect and economic development.

Addressing a press conference in Washington, he said the relations between both the countries are on new juncture.

He said, the United States should harmonize its relations with Pakistan keeping in view its developmental needs.

He said as United States is the biggest export market for Pakistan, it can play an important role in developing human resource of Pakistan.

He urged the US technical giants to open their research centers in Pakistan.

He said, during his talks with the US businessmen, they agreed to promote business to business cooperation.
