India has no right to celebrate Independence Day: AJK President

President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has said that India, which invaded Kashmir on October 27, 1947, and made Kashmiris slave just 72 days after gaining independence from British colonial rule has no right to celebrate Independence Day.

In a special message on the black day being observed by the Kashmiri people on the occasion of India's Independence Day, he said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir consider the Indian colonial system as evil as they considered the British colonial rule and the Dogra dictatorship based on tyranny and barbarism.

Sardar Masood Khan called upon the United Nations to implement its resolutions and help the people of Jammu and Kashmir get their right to self-determination in order to resolve the long outstanding Kashmir issue, and to reduce the dangers posed to the peace and security of South Asia.

Govt focusing on provision of better health, education facilities to Masses: NA Speaker

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said the government is focusing on provision of better health and education facilities to the people.

He expressed these views after inaugurating a new dialysis unit at Bacha Khan Medical Complex in Swabi.

Asad Qaiser also issued directives for releasing funds for ongoing development work in the hospital.

He also announced that soon the first women and children hospital will be established in Swabi.

Pakistan-The Hidden Treasure" Expo 2020 Campaign has been launched in Dubai on the occasion of Independence Day.

On the occasion, Pakistan's national flag was unfurled on Burj Khalifa and the national anthem played.

A contemporary cultural performance was held with high energy moves and dances on the national song "Hum Aik Hain," giving a quick peek into Pakistan's participation in Expo 2020.

A large number of people gathered at the fountain area of Burj Khalifa to enjoy the event.

Successful completion of CPEC projects would bring development in country: Sanjrani

Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani says the successful completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects would bring development and prosperity in the country, including Balochistan.

Addressing a 100-member delegation of students from seven districts of Balochistan in Islamabad, he said development of Gawadar is imperative for prosperity of the country.

The Chairman Senate said Balochistan is rich in natural resources, and people of the province, especially the educated youth, could reap benefit from the CPEC projects.

IBCC to conduct 13th E-Kachehry tomorrow

Inter Board Committee of Chairmen will conduct 13th E-Kachehry tomorrow (Monday) at 2:00 p.m to listen the problems of public in using Mobile App and applying for equivalence through IBCC E-Portal.

According to the vision of Prime Minister, IBCC has launched Mobile App and Equivalence E-Portal last month.

According to IBCC, the launch of such App is not only a revolutionary step but also a signature project of the Ministry of Federal Education which intends to minimize the problems of the public and will increase their accessibility to the IBCC.

Punjab Forest Department achieves tree plantation target set for Independence Day

The Punjab Forest Department has achieved the tree plantation target set for Independence Day.

In a statement, Punjab Minister for Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Muhammad Sibtain Khan said that the Forest Department has planted more than 2.1 million tree saplings till August 14.

He said the 'Plant for Pakistan' campaign has raised awareness among the people about the importance of tree plantation.
