Islamabad: Senior politicians Mehmood Maulvi and Imran Ismail commended the armed forces for setting a historic precedent in accountability by sentencing former Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed.

According to Radio Pakistan, addressing a news conference, they emphasized that the accountability process, started now, will continue, and all beneficiaries of Faiz Hameed’s network, including PTI, will have to face consequences. They further said PTI’s current leadership is completely incompetent.

The senior politicians urged PTI to abandon the path of confrontation, join the dialogue table for reconciliation, and help put the country on the path of development.

They also suggested that PTI should distance itself from social media operatives such as Adil Raja, who are spreading negative propaganda against the country in pursuit of dollars earned through increased views on their platforms.
