Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif formally inaugurated the balloting process for 720 newly constructed apartments for homeless industrial workers in Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a ceremony in Lahore, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to accommodate widows of deceased workers and persons with disabilities separately from the general balloting process. These individuals are to be allotted apartments upon application, bypassing the draw.
The Chief Minister further announced plans for an additional 1,872 apartments for industrial workers to be completed within the next 18 months.
Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed the completion of a bachelor hostel for 700 workers at the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura within three months.
