Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt Eid greetings to the President, his family, and the people of Azerbaijan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for the warm hospitality shown during his recent visit to Lachin. During this visit, he participated in Azerbaijan’s Independence Day celebrations and the Pakistan-Azerbaijan-Turkiye trilateral Summit.

The Prime Minister also thanked President Ilham Aliyev for Azerbaijan’s unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent Pakistan-India crisis, highlighting the strong bonds of brotherhood between the two countries.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and looked forward to future engagements, including the ECO Summit in Azerbaijan and President Aliyev’s anticipated visit to Islamabad later this year.
