PM Shehbaz reviews progress on CPEC

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting in Islamabad to review progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other Chinese projects. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on infrastructure projects, especially Main Line One (ML-1), Karachi Circular Railway, Karakoram Highway and other projects. The meeting also discussed 10,000 MW solar power project and hydropower projects. The participants held a detailed discussion on increasing speed of work on the CPEC projects and speeding up work on projects that have been halted for the past four years.

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Salik Hussain, Syed Naveed Qamar, Maryam Aurangzeb, Syed Murtaza Mahmood, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Adviser to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, Minister of State for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik, Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi, Zafaruddin Mehmood, Jahanzeb Khan, Syed Fahad Hussain, Prime Minister’s Coordinators Rana Ahsan Afzal, Badr Shehbaz and senior officials attended the meeting.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also participated in the meeting through video link.
