Pakistan Dispatches 17th Consignment of Humanitarian Aid to Palestinians

Islamabad: Pakistan's 17th consignment of humanitarian aid for the oppressed Palestinian people is set to depart from Islamabad International Airport today. The shipment comprises 100 tons of essential supplies, including food, ready-to-eat meals, powdered milk, and medical equipment, underscoring Pakistan's ongoing commitment to supporting Palestinians amid the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

According to Radio Pakistan, since October 2023, Pakistan has consistently sent multiple consignments of humanitarian aid to Gaza. This effort is part of a broader strategy to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians who continue to face dire conditions.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was present at the Islamabad airport for the send-off ceremony of the relief goods. During his address, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's unwavering support for Palestine during these challenging times. He called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the need for the protection of civilians and unhindered access for humanitarian assistance.

Furthermore, Ishaq Dar urged for renewed international backing for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, highlighting its crucial role in the survival of millions of Palestinian refugees. He affirmed Pakistan's commitment to continue providing relief and advocating for a just resolution to the ongoing crisis.
