Rawalpindi: Chief of the General Staff of the United Kingdom Army, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker, held a meeting with Field Army Chief Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi today. The discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and strategies to enhance bilateral defence cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration to maintain peace and stability in the region. General Walker expressed his admiration for the Pakistan Army’s accomplishments and sacrifices in combating terrorism, as well as its efforts in promoting regional peace and stability.
Upon his arrival at the General Headquarters, the UK Chief of the General Staff paid tribute to the martyrs by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. He was also honored with a guard of honour by a well-prepared contingent of the Pakistan Army.
