Islamabad:Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed the relevant authorities to expedite the completion of all pending tasks related to the Islamabad Model Jail project.

According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi issued these directives during a significant meeting in Islamabad, where he reviewed the progress of the jail project. He stressed the importance of finalizing all construction, administrative, and necessary preparations before the scheduled inauguration next month.

Participants in the meeting received updates on the status of remaining tasks and measures being taken to ensure the project's completion. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry assured the meeting that he is personally overseeing the process and that all involved institutions are collaborating to meet the project's timeline.

Notable attendees included the Director General FIA, the Federal Prosecutor General, Inspector General Islamabad Police, Director General NCCIA, and other relevant officials.

In related developments, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also ordered the immediate removal of all encroachments in Islamabad, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward such activities in the federal capital. During his visit to various parts of the city, he assessed cleanliness, civic facilities, and beautification efforts, inspecting schools, hotels, and public areas. Naqvi directed the launch of a comprehensive beautification plan for roads and green belts, coupled with large-scale planting at vacant sites.
