Islamabad: Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan has called on Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in the United Kingdom, Europe, and other parts of the world to unify their efforts and take advantage of renewed global interest in the Kashmir issue to present it in its true perspective.
According to Radio Pakistan, speaking at an event organized by the Institute of Policy Studies in Islamabad, Masood Khan stated that the recent confrontations between India and Pakistan have reminded the international community of the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute. This issue has long been recognized as a key flashpoint between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
He urged second- and third-generation Kashmiris and Pakistanis born and raised in the West to engage in local politics and advocacy. Masood Khan emphasized their unique understanding of the political dynamics in their adopted countries, which makes their involvement crucial in advancing the Kashmir cause through democratic means and strategic engagement.
