CDF, Syrian FM Discuss Bilateral Defence Cooperation

Islamabad: Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani along with his delegation met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment, and potential avenues for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation. Both leaders emphasized the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Syria and discussed Pakistan's perspective on global peace and regional stability. They underscored the importance of cooperation and collaborative efforts in addressing common security challenges.

The Syrian Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the professional role played by the Armed Forces of Pakistan in promoting regional peace and stability. Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding engagements in the fields of defence and security.
