Fed up of the caste based violence across India, a group of around 250 Dalits in Rajasthan have converted to Buddhism.
Besides converting to Buddhism, they also immersed the idols and pictures of deities into Baithali river in their village Bhulon in Rajasthan.
One of the newly convert Buddhist Rajendra told media that they were not allowed to visit temples and worship, so they had no reason to follow such a religion as they were not considered as Hindus.
