Islamabad made zero waste

On the special instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Clean Islamabad Mission was successfully completed on the second day of Eid-ul-Adha. Under the Joint operation of Islamabad Police and Safe City, Islamabad has been made Zero Waste. According to the details, on the second day of Eid, over 750 tons of waste was disposed off. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa has informed that so far 2507 tons of animal waste has been destroyed in the operation. He said on the second day of Eid, 45 complaints related to cleanliness were received, which were resolved promptly. Sanitation teams patrolled across the city including green belts, open spaces, drains and forest areas to ensure cleanliness. Punjab CM, Spanish envoy discuss promotion of investment

Ambassador of Spain in Pakistan Jose Antonio de Ory and Honorary Consul for Spain Jalal Salahuddin met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today. During the meeting, views were exchange on promotion of trade, investment, education, culture and tourism between Punjab and Spain. The meeting emphasized the need to enhance joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations. Speaking on the occasion, CM Maryam Nawaz highlighted the sustainable government's measures to provide conducive environment for business growth. Int’l Day for Countering Hate Speech observed

International Day for Countering Hate Speech was observed today. Theme of this year was "the Power of Youth for Countering and Addressing Hate Speech,' to highlights the crucial role that young people play in fostering a more inclusive and harmonious society. PM urges political leaders to work for country’s prosperity

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has urged political leaders to collectively work for country's prosperity. In his telephonic conversation, he felicitated heads of coalition parties including PPP, JUI-F, PML-Q, and MQM (P) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The Prime Minister also talked to Abdul Aleem Khan, Sardar Khalid Magsi, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and Professor Sajid Mir and exchanged Eid greetings with them. The Prime Minister hoped that the allied parties would continue their role for the economic stability of Pakistan. He expressed hope that they would work day and night to help regain Pakistan's lost place among the comity of nations.
