Govt providing skill based training to youth: Mashhood

Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan says the government is providing skill based training and several opportunities to the youth so that they could excel in their lives. Govt to present people-friendly budget: Amir Muqam

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has assured that the government would present a people-friendly and development-oriented budget for 2024-25, providing relief to the poor strata of the society. Talking to a private news channel, he said the scope of public welfare projects would be extended under public-private partnership and unnecessary expenditures further reduced. NDMA’s NEOC successfully mitigates heatwave impacts

The National Emergencies Operation Center of NDMA has achieved remarkable success in mitigating the severe impacts of heatwave in the country. Due to timely action and proactive measures, there was no causality across the country due to heatwave. Utilizing advanced meteorological models and climate data analysis, the NEOC identified specific periods, regions and vulnerable populations and infrastructure which were to be affected by extreme temperatures. This helped NDMA issue timely guidelines for establishing cooling centers, ensure an adequate supply of potable water, issue public health warnings, and advise personal protective actions. All these efforts yielded positive result and led to a fifty percent reduction in the impact of heatwave as compared to previous years. Healthcare facilities reported fewer cases of heat-related illnesses with only 26 patients under observation while 3,979 patients were treated successfully and discharged. Training program (Safar-e-Mualim) organized for teachers belonging to Balochistan

A training program (Safar-e-Mualim) was organized for teachers belonging to government schools of Balochistan in Quetta. Nearly seventy teachers from all districts of Balochistan participated in the training program, which was aimed at improving the quality of education in Balochistan. During the training program, psychologists provided guidance to teachers on the trends and causes of extremism.
