Governor KP, KSA Envoy discuss issues of mutual interest

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawab bin Saeed Al Maliki called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad. They discussed issues of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, Pakistan-Saudi relations, available investment opportunities in the province and investment promotion were also discussed. The Governor appreciated the relief services of King Salman Relief Center across the country especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that in the recent flood, King Salman Relief Center had provided full assistance to the flood victims in Dera Ismail Khan, Dir, Swat, Chitral, Charsadda with a spirit of love. Paigham-e-Pakistan conference held in Quetta to disseminate peace message

Paigham-e-Pakistan conference was organized in Quetta to disseminate the message of peace. The participants paid rich tributes to those who rendered sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. They vowed to collectively foil the conspiracies against the country. Referring to the teachings of Islam, the religious scholars strong condemned terrorism. Training of Baloch students in Rekodiq Int’l Graduate Program continues

The first phase of the Reko Diq Barracks International Graduate Program is providing advanced training for selected Baloch students in Argentina. It aims at developing a skilled workforce for the Reko Diq Mining Company. Following the completion of their training, these graduates will play a crucial role in the Reko Diq project. Punjab: CTD arrests 225 suspected persons

In Punjab, the Counter Terrorism Department arrested 225 suspected persons including fifteen terrorists during a total of 714 operations. According a spokesman of CTD, operations were conducted on secret information in various cities of the province including Lahore and Rawalpindi. He said suicide jackets, explosives, landmines detonator and safety fuses were recovered from the suspects, against whom cases have been registered. Source: Radio Pakistan

Nawaz Sharif expresses satisfaction over reduction in prices of commodities

PML (N) President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the reduction in prices of essential commodities. Addressing a party meeting in Murree today, he appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in this regard. He was confident that Pakistan would soon come out of crises. The PML (N) President said such policies should be framed that bring down the prices of electricity and gas.
