Govt committed to boost foreign investment: Punjab Governor

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan says present government is committed to boost foreign investment in the country. Talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Saed Al-Malki in Lahore today, he said Special Investment Facilitation Council is providing all possible facilities to foreign investors under one window platform. Thanking Saudi Arabia for continuously supporting Pakistan on international forums, he said that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan in every difficult hour as well. Govt reduces petrol price by Rs4.74 per liter

The government has decreased price of petrol by 4.74 reupees per liter and high speed diesel by 3.86 rupees for the next fortnight. The new price of petrol is 268.36 rupees per liter and high speed diesel 270.22 rupees. The new prices are effective from today. Source: Radio Pakistan

Govt to provide maximum relief to people in budget: Musadik

Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik says government is committed to provide every possible relief to the common man as per instructions of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he said the Prime Minister has directed all the ministries to ensure that the poor get job opportunities and have maximum relief in inflation. Musadik Malik said the country is heading towards development despite of numerous challenges including floods and global circumstances. He said all efforts are underway to provide maximum relief to the people in upcoming budget. The Minister said people will see a significant reduction in inflation rate in coming days. He highlighted that the rate of inflation in country has come down to almost 17 percent from around 37 percent. Musadik Malik said food inflation was around forty percent last year which has now decreased to almost eleven percent. Amir Muqam assures provision of funds to AJK

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has said that Azad Kashmir will be provided with required funds in the next financial year. He expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of a briefing on PSDP's plans related to Azad Kashmir in Muzaffarabad. The federal minister said that the PML-N government will give its full share to Azad Kashmir in the upcoming budget. All infrastructure improvement projects in Azad Kashmir will be completed on time. Pakistan Army organizes 3-day free eye camp in Kasur

Pakistan Army organized a three day free eye camp in Kasur. Several doctors and paramedical staff provided free medical services to hundreds of patients from morning till evening in Eye Camp. Eye examination with modern equipment, free surgery for cataract patients and provision of free lenses and medicines were provided in the camp.
