Pakistan, KSA reiterate to make collective efforts for regional stability

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone discussion with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. The two Leaders discussed the robust bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, exploring various avenues for further strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors. They reviewed preparations for the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar underlined that people of Pakistan are eagerly looking forward to the visit of His Royal Highness at a mutually agreed date. Drainage, drinking water schemes to be incorporated in budget: Murad

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that drainage and potable drinking water schemes would be incorporated in the budget for the new financial year to facilitate the people of the province. He was talking to the delegation of the World Bank led by its country director Najy Benhassine in Karachi today. Syed Murad Ali Shah informed the delegation that six programs including Health programme, Health and population project, social protection, rural services and other programs are functioning in the province and are meant for controlling stunting and other health issues. Govt in contact with Kyrgyzs authorities for safe return of Pakistani students: Tarar

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the government of Pakistan is in constant contact with the government of Kyrgyzstan to ensure the safe return of Pakistani students. He was talking to newsmen at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore after receiving the students returning from Kyrgyzstan. The Information Minister said special permission has been granted to operate four flights daily from Kyrgyzstan. He said one hundred and seventy-five Pakistani students arrived at the airport and arrangements have been made for their transportation and food. CDA Allots Land for Danish School in Islamabad

A plot has been allotted for the establishment of a Danish School in the federal capital. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated 30 acres in the Jagiot area of Islamabad for this purpose. The CDA Board has approved this allocation to the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Directorate of Education. During a CDA Board meeting, a summary to allocate land for the Danish School was presented by Member Planning, which received approval. The board's decision mandates the CDA Planning Wing to incorporate the designated land into Islamabad's layout plan. In compliance with the CDA's estate regulations, the land will be handed over to the Federal Ministry of Education. The CDA Board's decision also stipulates that the Building Control Section will approve the building plan according to existing regulations. The CDA Finance Wing will determine the land's cost. Once payment is made and all legal procedures are completed, the land will be officially transferred to the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education had initially requested the CDA to allocate 50 acres of land for the Danish School's construction. UN Chief deplores mob attacks against foreign students in Bishkek

Death anniversary of music director A. Hameed observed

Thirty-third death anniversary of legendary Pakistani music director A. Hameed was observed on Monday. Born in Amritsar in 1924, he started his career as a pianist. He later migrated to Pakistan and composed music for movies including Anjaam, Saheli, Bharosa and many others. His music directed for films Saheli and Aulad earned him wide recognition. He was presented Nigar Award for Best Music Director in film Dosti in 1971. A. Hameed passed away on this day in Rawalpindi in 1991. Source: Radio Pakistan
