Talks with Int’l financial institutions positive: Aurangzeb

Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has declared negotiations with international financial institutions as positive. Addressing a news conference in Washington along with Pakistan Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan, he said that Pakistan Stock Market witnessed a historical bullish trend in recent days due to positive indicators of economy. The Minister said that the mechanism regarding tax collection was also being improved through reforms. He said that Pakistan was heading towards financial stability as government's vision regarding revival of economy is quite clear. ECP seeks reports on political worker’s killing, polling staff abduction

The Election Commission of Pakistan has sought reports regarding the killing of a political worker in Narowal and the alleged abduction of polling staff in Qila Abdullah. According to a spokesperson of ECP, the commission, on the request of various candidates and the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, has sought report from the Provincial Election Commissioner of Balochistan and the Deputy Commissioner of Qila Abdullah regarding the incident of alleged abduction of polling staff in PB-50 Qila Abdullah. However, the Deputy Commissioner Qila Abdullah verbally told that no incident of abduction of polling staff occurred. The Election Commission instructed the Deputy Commissioner to submit a written report in this regard so that appropriate decision can be taken on the aforementioned requests. Furthermore, the Election Commission also taken notice of the killing of a political worker during today's by-election in PP-54 Narowal and sought a report from the relevant authorities. In this context, the Chief Election Commissioner personally talked to the District Police Officer of Narowal and directed immediate legal action against the culprits and the commission should be informed accordingly. National Nutrition Initiative in ICT Schools to be launched next month: Education Ministry

Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is launching National Nutrition Initiative on the 1st of next month under the direction of the Prime Minister. In its first phase, all government primary schools of Islamabad will receive free meals. In a statement, Secretary Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Mohyuddin Wani appreciated the partnership of Allah Wala Trust for this initiative. He said this initiative aims to reduce stunting and malnutrition, while also improving enrollment and attendance rates. He said that the Ministry of Education is excited to roll out this program, which will have a positive impact on the health and education of thousands of children across the Islamabad. Death anniversary of Allama Iqbal observed

The 86th death anniversary of philosopher, poet and thinker, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal was observed today to acknowledge his services for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He was born on November 9, 1877 in Sialkot. Allama Iqbal was a great visionary poet who conceived the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent, which was later materialized in the form of Pakistan.
