Rallies being taken out across KP to express solidarity with armed forces

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rallies are being taken out across the province on daily basis since 11th May to express solidarity with the armed forces and denounce the hate-mongers.

In this regard a large number of people participated in the rallies taken out in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera and Khyber districts today.

Addressing the rallies, the speakers reaffirmed the nation's resolve to firmly stand shoulder to shoulder with armed forces of the country.

They strongly condemned the attacks of miscreants on government installations and vandalizing of state institutions in the province.

The rallies’ participants lauded the role of Pakistan Army for restoring peace and stability in the country.

The participants chanted slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ ‘Pak Fouj Paindabad’.

Suki Kinari Hydropower project achieves dam capping

The Suki Kinari Hydropower project has achieved the dam capping, marking it entering a new construction stage.

According to a report of China Economic Net, the successful capping of the concrete dam on the Kunhar River would help advance the construction progress of the power station under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Terming the capping a key milestone, Chen Jiangbo, Deputy Manager of the 884-megawatt Suki Kinari Hydropower project attributed the achievement to the joint efforts made by the Chinese and Pakistani constructors despite multiple challenges.

Karachi Board Announces Date Sheet for Intermediate Exams

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially released the schedule for the intermediate Part-II examinations.

As per the announced schedule, the HSSC Part-II exams will commence on May 30 in Karachi and will run until June 27.

In a statement, BIEK stated, “Annual Examinations 2023 for the Pre-Engineering Group, Pre-Medical, Science General, Home Economics, Commerce Regular, Commerce Private, Arts Regular, Diploma will begin from May 30 and will continue till June 27.”

Furthermore, the schedule for the Intermediate Part-I examinations will be issued at a later date, as mentioned by BIEK.

Uncontrolled Cheating in Matric Exams

It is worth mentioning that the matric exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) faced challenges related to mismanagement and widespread complaints of cheating.

Punjab government has found evidence of links between the miscreants who attacked Jinnah House and the leadership of a political party.

This was stated by Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi while chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore today.

He said solid evidence of communication and messaging between miscreants and political leaders of the party through geofencing has come to light.

Mohsin Naqvi said every single terrorist who attacked military installations and places should be brought to justice soon.

He instructed to complete the formation of Joint Investigation Team today to probe the 9 May tragedy.

In a statement, the Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said recruiting and retaining top talent in the higher education sector is a key to developing a knowledge economy.

He said the establishment of Task Force signifies the government's commitment to address the challenges faced by the higher education sector in Pakistan.
