Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and the Chinese people on the National Day of China.

In a series of tweets today (Saturday), he said the peaceful rise of China as the second largest economy and paramount global power is a source of stability in a perpetually changing world.

The Prime Minister said China offers a promise of hope to the developing world beset by multiple crises relating to climate, finance, food and energy.

He said the Chinese template of inter-state relations prioritizes cooperation over confrontation and is the governing principle in formation of a Community of Common Destiny.

The Prime Minister said he is deeply touched by the Chinese adherence to remarkable work ethic and national discipline. He said this explains how China has been able to lift 800 million people out of acute poverty.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan can also lift itself out of crises by focusing more on work.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for narcotics control, Nawabzada Shazain Bugti says the unprecedented success of Pakistan-China strategic friendship has entered a new chapter with many new projects.

In his message on the occasion of 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, he said it gives immense pleasure to extend heartiest felicitations to the government and the people of China.

Shazain Bugti said the strategic partnership with China will be taken to towering heights to bring development, stability and prosperity to people of both the countries as well as the region.

He said that the iron brotherhood of Pakistan and China reflects close cooperation, mutual trust and complete understanding of each other’s interests.

He further appreciated the Chinese people and the government who stood with Pakistan in the wake of disastrous floods.

The leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have expressed commitment to take the issue of audio leaks and cipher to its logical conclusion as it has raised questions on the prestige and honour of country.

Addressing a news conference along with other senior party leaders in Lahore on Saturday, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Imran Khan’s divisive and filthy narrative has been exposed in a recent audio leak and cipher is not a conspiracy.

Terming cipher as a secret document and the property of Prime Minister office, he said that PTI Chief is responsible for this serious security breach.

Expressing displeasure over the poor performance of PTI in last four years, Ishaq Dar lamented that all the macroeconomic indicators of Pakistan showed desperate performance and country ranked as below to 50th economy worldwide in 2034.

He further pledged to steer the country out of the mammoth challenges as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is making his best efforts to tackle the challenges in an effective manner.

He said that due to the prudent steps taken by the coalition government, appreciation of rupee is being witnessed against dollar. Resultantly, a significant reduction of country’s loan has been observed.

Ishaq Dar expressed the resolve to provide maximum relief to the general public in coming weeks.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N will never compromise on the issue of national security.

She said PTI Chief Imran Khan committed forgery with the sensitive document and he should apologize to the nation.

She said that Imran Khan tarnished the image of country in the world and ruined the diplomatic ties with other states.

Maryam Nawaz said PTI Chief received billions of rupees from anti state elements under the banner of foreign funding.

She further said that former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will come to Pakistan and lead the party.

Responding to a question, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar warned that strict action will be taken against the elements involved deliberately in the depreciation of rupee.

To a question over the cipher issue, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Federal Cabinet has decided to raise the issue of audio leaks in the Parliament and action will be taken against PTI Chief after discussion in the Parliament.

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarrar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Pervez Rashid were also present on this occasion.

Pakistan has strongly condemned India’s continued campaign of extra-judicial killings claiming lives of seven more innocent Kashmiris.

In a press release on Saturday, Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said it is deeply worrying that in the past one week, Indian forces have blatantly carried out a series of extra-judicial murders with impunity on a daily basis.

In one incident near Kupwara on 25 of last month, two innocent Kashmiris were mercilessly killed by Indian occupation forces. In another brutal encounter that occurred after a so-called ‘cordon and search’ operation in Kulgam district on 26 of the last month, one more innocent Kashmiri was killed in cold blood.

In yet another incident that took place in Kulgam district on 27 of September, two more innocent Kashmiris were shot dead under the facade of a police encounter. Even yesterday, two innocent Kashmiris were targeted and killed in a staged encounter in Baramulla.

The spokesperson said the stage-managed encounters enacted after every so-called cordon and search operation and resulting in the extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris, openly desecrate the basic tenets of law and justice and defy the fundamental human rights and liberties of the innocent Kashmiri people.

Since its unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019, Indian Occupation Forces have murdered more than 678 Kashmiris, including at least 158 this year.

He said Pakistan reiterates its call for the investigation of extra-judicial killings in IIOJK by the Commission of Inquiry as recommended by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in its Kashmir Reports of 2018 and 2019.

Pakistan also urges the international community to hold India responsible for its brazen persecution of the innocent Kashmiris and play its due role in ensuring a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
