Govt focusing on creating business friendly environment for foreign investors: Miftah

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said attracting the US investment in different sectors of Pakistan's economy is top priority of the government.

Talking to the US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome in Islamabad on Friday, he said Pakistan and the US enjoy long term, broad based and multi-dimensional relationship. He reiterated the desire to further deepen bilateral economic, trade and investment ties with the US.

He said present government is focusing on creating a business friendly environment for the foreign investors.

The US Ambassador underscored that both the countries enjoy good relations and expressed confidence on the policies and programs of the government. He extended his support to further promote bilateral economic, investment and trade relations between the two countries.

Govt to launch National Development Internship Program for young engineers: Ahsan Iqbal

Government has planned to launch National Development internship program for 15000 young engineers in the country.

This was announced by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal while addressing the 'National Dialogue to eradicate Engineers Unemployment through Entrepreneurial setting' held in Islamabad.

The Minister emphasized that export- led growth is the panacea for making Pakistan's economy strong and self- reliant.

He said Pakistan needs positive synergy to move swiftly on the path of economic development.

The event was attended by engineers, entrepreneurs and employers from all over the country.
