Islamabad: Youm-e-Istehsal will be observed tomorrow to express support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and condemn India's illegal and unilateral action of August 5, 2019. It was on this day in 2019 that India unilaterally and illegally stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status, an action rejected by the international community, Kashmiris, and Pakistanis alike.
According to Radio Pakistan, special events have been organized in connection with the Day. A rally will be held on the Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, with participation from various sectors of society including federal ministers and members of parliament. Sirens will be blown, and one minute of silence will be observed at nine am to mark the occasion.
Rallies are also planned across all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Radio Pakistan will broadcast special programs to highlight the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and the human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
