Gilgit: Justice (R) Yar Muhammad took oath as the Caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan in a ceremony held today at the Governor House. The oath was administered by the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah.
According to Radio Pakistan, the ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam, along with numerous political leaders and government officials. Following the oath-taking, the newly appointed caretaker Chief Minister met with Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Federal Minister Amir Muqam.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the overall regional situation, administrative matters, and the necessary steps for ensuring good governance during the caretaker period. The Federal Minister congratulated Justice (R) Yar Muhammad on his new role and expressed optimism that the caretaker government will manage transparent and effective administrative affairs in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Governor Syed Mehdi Shah emphasized the importance of cooperation from the federal government for development projects and public welfare initiatives in the region. Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Yar Muhammad reiterated his commitment to prioritize public interest in an impartial and professional manner while fulfilling his duties.
