WB Voices Support to Pakistan for Reforms in LPG Sector


Islamabad: World Bank Country Director Ms. Bolormaa Amgaabazar called on Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik in Islamabad today. The meeting centered around ongoing and forthcoming reforms aimed at ensuring the sustainability of Pakistan’s gas sector.



According to Radio Pakistan, the World Bank Country Director praised the Petroleum Division for successfully addressing the LNG surplus issue, acknowledging the complexity of the challenge. She shared that the Bank is crafting a comprehensive roadmap for reforms in the gas sector.



The World Bank also expressed eagerness to collaborate on reforms within the LPG sector and support the capacity building of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed gratitude to the World Bank Country Director for acknowledging the government’s efforts in resolving the LNG issue.
