Quetta: In a landmark development for peace and stability in Balochistan, local separatist leader Wadera Noor Ali Chakarani, along with more than one hundred of his companions, surrendered their weapons and announced their decision to join the national mainstream. The group pledged loyalty to the state and the national flag, affirming their support for the provincial government’s initiatives to promote peace, stability, and national unity.
According to Radio Pakistan, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the government has adopted a policy of reconciliation for those willing to surrender and rejoin the constitutional path. The Chief Minister emphasized that intelligence-based operations against armed militants are being conducted simultaneously, highlighting a dual approach to ensuring security in the region.
The Chief Minister further remarked that the decision of Wadera Noor Ali Chakarani and his companions to lay down their arms before the state is an important step toward peace and stability in the region. This move is seen as significant progress in the efforts to foster unity and stability in Balochistan.
