Visit of FM Araghchi Reflects Iran’s Trust in Pakistan: Masood Khan

Islamabad: Former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Nations, Sardar Masood Khan, has expressed that Pakistan maintained unwavering diplomatic engagement following the first phase of US-Iran contacts, successfully sustaining momentum and rebuilding confidence between the parties. In a statement, he categorically rejected the perceptions of any diplomatic setback, asserting that Pakistan remained fully active after the initial round of negotiations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Masood Khan stated that Islamabad intensified its outreach to ensure continuity in the peace process. He described the recent visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Pakistan as a clear indication of Tehran's trust in Islamabad. The former Ambassador emphasized that the arrival of the Iranian Foreign Minister sends a strong signal that Tehran continues to repose confidence in Pakistan's facilitation role.

Sardar Masood Khan highlighted that Pakistan's leadership has maintained close coordination with global stakeholders, including major powers and regional actors, thereby strengthening its diplomatic leverage and international standing.
