Narowal: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the significance of the Uraan Pakistan Programme as a comprehensive plan for the country’s development. Speaking at a ceremony in Narowal, he highlighted that progress across all economic sectors is crucial for achieving national growth and prosperity.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal pointed out the vital role of the agricultural sector as the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. He underscored the importance of the veterinary department in the development of the livestock sector, which is essential for increasing the production of milk and meat. To support this, veterinary officials have been equipped with motorbikes to facilitate their outreach to farmers, providing necessary guidance and assistance.
The planning minister also stressed the need to promote value addition in the agriculture and livestock sectors. He called upon the Livestock Department and the University of Veterinary Sciences to take more proactive roles in enhancing the livestock industry.
