United nations: Pakistan says India's unilateral suspension of the Indus Water Treaty threatens water security and regional stability. This was stated by Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, during the Global Water Bankruptcy Policy Roundtable hosted by the Permanent Mission of Canada and the United Nations University.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador described the Indian decision as that of a country which deliberately weaponizes water. Usman Jadoon emphasized that Pakistan's position is unequivocal; the Treaty remains legally intact and permits no unilateral suspension or modification.
