A Climate moot, hosted by Pakistan at the United Nations has called for prioritizing welfare of women and children and urged to demonstrate a stronger political will to deal with the threats posed by climate change. The panel discussion on climate change was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations in collaboration with the Islamic Relief Worldwide and UNICEF in New York. The speakers agreed that urgent steps need to be taken to work out modalities for the mobilization of resources to cater to the growing financial needs for the success of the adaptation and resilience strategy.
