UK Offers $400,000 for Capacity Building of Geological Survey of Pakistan

Islamabad: The United Kingdom has extended an offer of four hundred thousand US dollars to enhance the capacity of the Geological Survey of Pakistan. The announcement was made during a meeting between British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, and Pakistan's Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Jane Marriott recognized the substantial investment opportunities available in Pakistan and expressed the UK's commitment to supporting the country's geological advancements. During the meeting, Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik emphasized that the collaboration with the British Geological Survey and the Geological Survey of Pakistan would facilitate progress in the nation's mineral sector.

Furthermore, the Minister encouraged British companies to consider investing in Pakistan's offshore oil and gas exploration, highlighting potential benefits for both countries through mutual cooperation and investment in the energy sector.
