Islamabad: President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Islamabad today on a day-long official visit to Pakistan. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received the distinguished guest at the airport.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit commenced with a 21-gun salute, and a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers and senior officials.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The two leaders are expected to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The visit provides an important opportunity to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. It reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and the shared commitment of both sides to further enhancing collaboration in key areas, including trade, investment, energy, development, and regional stability.
