Islamabad: The Acting Ambassador of the United States to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, today paid a special visit to the historic Golra Railway Station and Railway Museum. During her visit, she examined U.S-made railway machinery and instruments that are on display at the site.
According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi briefed Ambassador Baker on the cultural and historical significance of the Golra Railway Station. He informed the envoy about the reforms and modernization initiatives currently being implemented within Pakistan Railways.
The Minister also detailed the recent upgrades and digitization efforts at major railway stations in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Faisalabad, aligning them with international standards. Highlighting the importance of the rail sector, he emphasized that Pakistan Railways serves not only as a vital national asset but also as a symbol of the country’s cultural heritage and international connectivity.
