Islamabad: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan Monument in Islamabad today in connection with the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye. Chairman of Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, highlighted the strong bond between Pakistan and Turkiye during the event, noting the solidarity between the two nations during challenging times. He also mentioned that additional events are planned at PNCA and a major program will take place at Jinnah Convention Center on Friday, emphasizing that the Pakistan-Turkiye relationship is reaching new heights.
According to Radio Pakistan, Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for commemorating Pakistan-Turkiye friendship week, which he sees as a testament to the deep-rooted fraternity shared by the two nations. The Ambassador emphasized the goal of enhancing the economic relationship to align with the political ties, highlighting areas such as trade, investment, tourism, and education as focal points for future cooperation. He also acknowledged Pakistan as a reliable partner in defense industry collaboration.
Irfan Neziroglu reiterated Turkiye’s support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and expressed a commitment to working together to honor the legacies of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with the aim of passing this enduring brotherhood to future generations.
