Lower dir: Security forces successfully neutralized ten Indian-sponsored Khwarij during an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Lal Qilla Maidan, Lower Dir. The operation culminated in an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the elimination of the militants.
According to Radio Pakistan, the operation led to the ultimate sacrifice of seven valiant soldiers, who bravely fought to protect innocent civilians held hostage by the Khwarij. The martyrs include Naik Abdul Jalil from North Waziristan, Naik Gul Jan and Naik Azmat Ullah from Lakki Marwat, Sepoy Abdul Malik from Khyber, Sepoy Muhammad Amjad from Malakand, Sepoy Muhammad Dawood from Swabi, and Sepoy Fazal Qayum from Dera Ismail Khan.
In efforts to secure the area, security forces have initiated a sanitization operation to root out any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij. Pakistan remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism. Intelligence reports have highlighted the involvement of Afghan nationals in these attacks, prompting Pakistan to urge the Interim Afghan Government to prevent the use of its soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their successful operation against the terrorists. In a statement, he paid homage to the seven personnel who sacrificed their lives during the operation and offered condolences to their families. The Prime Minister emphasized the nation’s gratitude towards these brave soldiers and reaffirmed the resolve of security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country.
