Islamabad:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to cease facilitating terrorists.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar criticized the provincial government's evasive stance on maintaining law and order. He accused them of being unaware of the situation and reluctant to implement measures for peace.

Tarar claimed that while terrorists have targeted all political parties, they have shown a preference for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He alleged that PTI has become aligned with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban, never showing solidarity with security forces.

The Minister specifically accused Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and his cabinet of aiding terrorists, stating that Afridi resembles a TTP commander more than a Chief Minister. He urged PTI to act responsibly and prioritize national integrity.

Tarar also highlighted issues of illegal trade in timber and tobacco, as well as illegal gold mining and contract awards, suggesting that these activities are funding terrorists. He noted that this financial involvement is why the provincial government hesitates to act against terrorism.

He further criticized the provincial government's response to drone threats from Afghanistan, saying representatives fled while security forces bravely faced the danger. Tarar emphasized that the people, security forces, and law enforcement personnel are united and making sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
