Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain has expressed the Government’s resolve to enhance processing, packaging, and marketing capabilities of the date sector. During a virtual meeting with the United Arab Emirates delegation, the Minister highlighted Pakistan’s huge potential in the date sector saying the country is among the leading date-producing nations of the world.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the importance of leveraging modern techniques to boost the value and global competitiveness of Pakistan’s date produce. He outlined the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that would improve the sector’s infrastructure, aiming to make Pakistani dates more appealing in international markets. The meeting underscored the significance of the agricultural sector in the country’s economy and the potential for increased exports through improved processing and marketing strategies.
