Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain met with President of Pakistan Muslim League-N (Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Shah Ghulam Qadir, in Islamabad on Friday as part of activities to observe Youm-e-Istehsal on August 5th. The Minister reiterated that Pakistan remains steadfast in its political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and that their right to self-determination, as enshrined in UN Security Council resolutions, cannot be denied.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Tanveer Hussain highlighted the unity among political leadership in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir in advocating for the Kashmir cause. He assured the PMLN-AJK President of the federal government's continued commitment to keep the Kashmir issue at the center of the national and international agenda.

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Ghulam Qadir appreciated the Minister's strong stance and expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Government of Pakistan. He briefed the Minister on the current situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and emphasized the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to counter India's false narratives and expose its unlawful actions in IIOJK.
