Islamabad: A 75-member cultural troupe from Tajikistan is set to visit Pakistan, as discussed during a meeting between Tajikistan Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir and Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan. The meeting took place in Islamabad, where the ambassador informed the minister about the delegation’s visit and the planned activities.
According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation is visiting at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The troupe will include artisans, singers, artists, and dancers who will present Tajik culture through performances and exhibitions. The cultural ensemble is scheduled to set up stalls and perform at Lok Virsa and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad, with additional performances planned in Lahore.
During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his pleasure in hosting the Tajik cultural troupe, emphasizing the strong cultural and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan. He highlighted that such cultural exchanges are essential for strengthening people-to-people contacts and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.
