Sustainable Development of Dairy Industry Among Govt’s Top Priorities


Islamabad: A delegation of Dutch company Royal Friesland Campina and Engro Pakistan, led by Jan Derck Van Karnebeek, met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the capital on Tuesday.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister welcomed the company’s investment aimed at adding value to dairy products in the country. Emphasizing Pakistan’s status as one of the top milk-producing nations globally, he expressed a keen interest in collaborating with companies like Friesland Campina to advance the dairy sector.



The Prime Minister highlighted that the sustainable development of the dairy industry and the improvement of farmers’ livelihoods are among the government’s top priorities. The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to fostering partnerships that enhance the productivity and value of the dairy industry.
